Colonel Philip E. Lowry was commissioned as a Signal Corps Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School Class 6-47, 26 June 1947. His first duty assignment was as Platoon Leader, 52nd Signal Battalion, in support of XXIV Corps, Korea. | His subsequent duty assignments include: Various Company Officer assignments in the 71st Signal Service Battalion in support of Headquarters, Far East Command; Training Officer, 16th Signal Radio Relay Company, Camp Gordon, Georgia; Military Advisor to the Turkish Army and to the Army of Vietnam; Staff Officer, War Plans Division of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Department of the Army; Commander, 32nd Signal Battalion, V Corps, United States Army Europe; Deputy Chief, Management Information Systems, United States Army Europe; Commander, 12th Signal Group, lst Signal Brigade, United States Army, Vietnam; Division Chief, Management Information Systems Directorate Office, Chief of Staff of the Army.
