First Lieutenant James M. Earley was commissioned an Infantry Officer upon completing Officer Candidate School, Class 25-69, 7 August 1969. His first assignment was Platoon Leader with 11th Infantry, Fort Carson, Colorado. | His subsequent assignments include: Platoon Leader with Company B, 2nd Battalion, 11th Infantry, Vietnam and HHC 1st BN 22d Infantry. | At the time of his induction, Earley was President and Chief Executive Officer, Bankers Trust Company and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Iowa.
