HOWARD C. BLAZZARD
Description
Lieutenant Colonel Howard Chadwick Blazzard rose from a Platoon Leader to Battalion Commander with the 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division in Europe during World War II. Some of his other assignments include duty as Battalion Commander, 41st Armored Infantry Battalion, 2d Armored Division; Infantry Advisor to the Venezuelan Army; Weapons Instructor, United States Army Infantry School; Chief, Strategic Intelligence Section, Headquarters United States Army, Europe; Deputy Commander, 506th Airborne Battle Group, 101 Airborne Division. Lieutenant Colonel BlArizonazard is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, The Command and General College and the United States Army War College. Included among his decorations are the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Parachutist Badge.
