He also received his U.S. Citizenship on 01 August 1967. | His subsequent duty assignments were: Advisor to a Mobile Strike Force Platoon, Company D, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces, Nui Coto Mountain, Republic of Vietnam; Senior Provincial Reconnaissance Unit Advisor, Company D, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces, Kontum Province, Republic of Vietnam; Commander, Company D, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces, Republic of Vietnam.
