Captain Delmar David Steinbock, Jr. was commissioned an Infantry Officer, 28 March 1969. His first duty assignment was as Security Officer, 52nd Ordnance Company, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. | His subsequent duty assignments include Mobile Advisory Team Leader (Mat I-30), Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Province, Republic of Vietnam; Supervisor, 5th Instructor Training Course Chemical Equipment Repair School, USACMLC, Fort McClellan, Alabama. | Captain Steinbock's military awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal w/ "V" Device, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ Device, National Defense Service Medal and Two Overseas Bars. | Following his retirement he served as Legal Counsel to the Commissioner of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
