COL Jeffery K. Ludwig commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer following graduation from Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia, Class 2-84, 27 April 1984. COL Ludwig was branch transferred from the Field Artillery to the Quartermaster Corps in June 1987. His first tour of duty was Fire Support Team Chief, A Company, 1st Battalion 52nd Infantry, 1st Armored Division, Bamberg, Germany.
