COL Daphany L. Prewitt commissioned as an Engineer Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School, Fort Benning, Georgia, Class 1-94, 27 January 1994. Her first duty assignment was as a Horizontal Construction Platoon Leader, 864th Engineer Battalion at Fort Lewis, Washington.

Her notable duty assignments include 12th Battalion Army Reserve Careers Division in Grand Prairie, Texas; Deputy, Programs Division, HQDA G4 (DALO-RMP), and Branch Chief, Installations Branch, Program Analysis & Evaluation, Office of the Chief, Army Reserve. Her final assignment was Director, Audit and Financial Management Systems, Office of the Chief, Army Reserve.

Her military education consists of: Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Intermediate Level Education, Advanced Operational Warfighter Course, the Reserve Component National Security Course, and U.S. Army War College.

COL Prewitt's highest military awards include Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (8 Awards), Combat Action Badge, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.
