    Colonel Christopher R. Forsythe

    Colonel Christopher R. Forsythe was commissioned a Finance Officer up graduation from Officer Candidate School Class 01-94 on 27 January 1994.  His first duty assignment was S4, Disbursing Officer, HHD Commander, 24th Finance Battalion, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

    His subsequent duty assignments were: Group Comptroller, 3d Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; C Company Commander, 82nd Soldier Support Battalion (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Company Tactical Officer (E-2)/XO to the Commandant of Cadets, United States Military Academy, West Point, New York; Commander, 82nd Financial Management Company, OIF/Fort Bragg, North Carolina; G8/Comptroller, U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Commander, Columbia Recruiting Battalion, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Director-South, Chairman's Office of Reintegration, Washington, DC; Director, 18th Financial Management Support Center, OIR/Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Comptroller, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Executive Officer, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management & Comptroller), Washington, DC. At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame, COL Forsythe was serving as Executive Officer, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management and Comptroller) Pentagon, Washington DC.

    His military education includes: Finance Officer Basic Course, Finance Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Naval College of Command and Staff, Eisenhower School (SSC) (National Defense University), Senior Leaders Seminar, Recruiting Commanders Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, Ranger School, Military Freefall School.

    COL Forsythe's highest military awards include: Legion of Merit w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Serve Medal w/ 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Joint Staff Badge, Army Staff Identification Badge, Australian, Canadian, German, and Dutch Jump Wings.
