Colonel Christopher Keith Kennedy commissioned as an Armor Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School Class 03-91 at Fort Benning, Georgia on 31 May, 1991. His first duty assignment was an M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank Platoon Leader in the 4th Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany.
