The Honorable Cedric C. Philipp was commissioned and Infantry Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School, 24 October 1944. His first duty assignment was as Tactical Officer at the Infantry School, 3d Student Training Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia. | His subsequent duty assignments include: Member of one of the teams selected by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be dropped in Spain from the Office of Military Government (U.S.) in Berlin (OMGUS) to seek and return Adolph Hitler should have escaped to Spain; United States Representative on the Quadripartite Property Control Secretariat in Berlin; Assistant to the United States Ambassador in Chile; Counselor to the United States Ambassador to the Organization of American States; Advisor to the United States Delegation to the Eleventh meeting of the Caribbean Commission and the Fourth Session of the East Indian Conference; Desk Officer for Haiti/Dominican Republic, Assistant to the United States Agency for International Development in Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico. | At the time of his Hall of Fame induction, he was serving as the President to the Memorial Library of Radnor Township and as President, PPM and Board Director, for HEM Pharmaceuticals.
