The Honorable Carlos J. Moorhead graduated from OCS in Class 408, 14 February 1945. His initial assignment was as Commanding Officer, D Company, 76th Infantry Training Battalion, Infantry Replacement Training Center, Camp Roberts, CA. | Congressman Moorhead’s subsequent assignments include: Commanding Officer, HQ and HQ Detachment, 112th Replacement Battalion, Army Forces Western Pacific; Commanding Officer, 743rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion, Replacement and Disposition Command, Army Forces Western Pacific; and with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, United States Army, Retired Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel. Congressman Moorhead completed the Judge Advocate General’s Civil Affairs Law Course, and received a Doctorate Degree from the University of Southern California School of Law. | Congressman Moorhead has been a member of Congress for 12 terms and is presently serving as a member of the United States House of Representatives for the 27th Congressional District, CA. He is the dean of California’s Republican Delegation and a member of the Judiciary Committee where he serves as Subcommittee Chairman of the Subcommittee on Courts and Intellectual Property. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the House Committee on Commerce. | Congressman Moorhead’s military awards include: Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal; American Campaign Medal; World War II Victory Medal.
