Brigadier General Jason C. Slider
Description
BG Jason C. Slider was commissioned an Armor Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School Class 002-92, 21 April 1992. His first duty assignment was to the 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division.
His notable duty assignments include: Commander, 1st Security Force Assistance Team (Khost, Afghanistan); Commander, 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (Special Operations) (Airborne), 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne); Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7 U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command; and Director of the Mission Command Center of Excellence, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center. His current duty assignment is Deputy Commanding General (Operations), 3d Division (France).
BG Slider's notable military education and training include: Officer Candidate School, Armor Basic and Advance Courses, United States Army Command and General Staff College and Air War College.
His highest military awards include: Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (w/3 OLC) and Bronze Star (w/1 OLC).
At the time of his Hall of Fame selection, BG Slider was serving as the Deputy Commanding General for Operations of 3rd Division (France) as one of only two U.S. Army general officers assigned to an allied warfighting formation.
