Colonel Carmine J. Perrotta was commissioned an Infantry Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School Class Number 8, 1 May 1942. Colonel Perrotta was honorably discharged as a corporal with the 47th Infantry, Fort Bragg, North Carolina and transferred to the Infantry School Service Command, Fort Benning, Georgia to attend the Officer Candidate School. Colonel Perrotta served in the United States Army and the Army Reserve from enlistment in January 1941 to retirement on 8 June 1975. | He served in the European Theatre of Operations and on the General Staff of First Army Headquarters. | Colonel Perotta is the recipient of the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star for Valor, Purple Heart, Campaign Stars and Service Awards. | Colonel Perrotta retired from the United States Army Reserve.
