His first duty assignment was as Aircraft Maintenance Officer, 801st Maintenance Battalion, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY. | His subsequent duty assignments include: Adjutant/Commander, HHC, 801st Maintenance Battalion, Vietnam; Aircraft Maintenance Officer, 34th General Support Group, Vietnam, Aircraft Maintenance Officer, A Company, 101st Airborne Division, Vietnam; Chief, Configuration Management Division, Aviation Support Command, St. Louis, MO; Commander, 568th Transportation Division, Fort Wainwright, AR; S3, 222nd Aviation Battalion, Fort Wainwright, AK; Personnel Management Officer, Milpercen, Alexandria, VA; Aviation Logistics Officer, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Washington, D.C.; Commander, 205th Transportation Battalion, Langendiebach, Germany.
