Colonel Charles R. Weeks, Jr. graduated from Infantry Officer Candidate Class Number 4, 26 October 1951, after five years of enlisted service. During the Korean Conflict he served as a Commander of Company A, 27th Regiment, 25th Division, and later deployed with that unit to Hawaii. | He joined C Battery, 617th Field Artillery at Fort Sill, Oklahoma as the Battery Commander and stayed at Fort Sill until he departed for Europe. | In Europe he served as Adjutant, 3d Battalion, 25th Artillery and as Commander of Headquarters Battery, 2d Battalion, 26th Artillery, and then later with the Office of the Comptroller Headquarters, Berlin Brigade. After his tour in Europe, Colonel Weeks returned to Fort Sill for three years until he returned to the Infantry School where he became an Instructor. | His next tour of duty was in the Republic of Vietnam where he served as Chief of the Personnel Management Branch at Headquarters Military Assistance Command Vietnam. Following Vietnam, he served tours in Hawaii, at Fort Sill, and as Inspector General for Headquarters, Camp Zama, United States Army Japan. | Colonel Weeks military education includes the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
