RICHARD G. FOELSCH
Description
Lieutenant Colonel Richard G. Foelsch served with the 78th Infantry in Europe from 1942 through 1945. In 1946, Lieutenant Colonel Foelsch accepted a Regular Army commission with the Transportation Corps while at Fort McClellan, Alabama. In 1949, Lieutenant Colonel Foelsch was assigned to Puerto Rico where he served as the Superintendent, Water Division. In 1954 he was assigned to the 14th Transportation Battalion in Korea. In 1956, Lieutenant Colonel Foelsch was assigned to the Charleston Transportation Depot in South Carolina, where he served as Chief, Storage and Supply | Lieutenant Colonel Foelsch's awards and decorations include: the Silver Star, the Bronze Star Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge and other campaign medals.
