Colonel Tony L. "Titan" Thacker was commissioned as an Infantry Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School Class 01-95 at Fort Benning, Georgia on 25 January 1995. His first assignment was as a Platoon Leader, 1/5 Infantry, 1/25 Infantry Division Fort Lewis , Washington.

His subsequent duty assignments were: 4th Ranger Training Battalion Fort Benning, Georgia; Company Commander A/1/507th Airborne Infantry, Fort Benning, Georgia; A/S3 75th Ranger Regiment Fort Benning, Georgia; Team Leader E CO 96th SOFCA Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 1st SFOD-D Troop CDR Fort Bragg, North Carolina; CDR A/96th CAB ABN Fort Bragg, North Carolina; G39 Operations chief ARCENT Fort McPherson, Georgia; BN CDR SFA #6 Afghanistan; SOCOM J33 current operations chief MacDill Air Force Base, Florida; SOCOM J33 CA Chief MacDill Air Force Base, Florida; CENTCOM CAOD Division Chief and Inter Agency Group assistant director MacDill Air Force Base, Florida; CENTCOM Joint Operations Command Chief MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. COL Thacker's military service includes 14 combat deployments. In addition, COL Thacker was recognized by the National Security Council's Assessment Board for the most accurate predictive analytics that were measured from 2016-2020.

His military education and training consists of: Infantry Officer Basic Course, Infantry Officer Advance Course, Regional Studies (Middle East) JFK Special Warfare School, Military Free Fall, Total Army Instructor course, SERE (High Risk), Arctic Survival Course, Jungle Operations Training Course, Command and General Staff College, Navy War College.

His highest awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Medal, Bronze Star (6th award), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4th award), Joint Service Commendation medal, Army Commendation medal (4th award), Army Achievement medal (9th award), Joint Meritorious Unit award (2nd award), Meritorious Unit Commendation, USCG Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit award (3rd award), Army Good Conduct medal (3rd award), National defense service medal (2nd award), Global War on terrorism expeditionary medal, global war on terrorism service medal, Iraq campaign medal w/campaign star, noncommissioned officer professional development ribbon (3rd award), Army service ribbon, overseas service ribbon (4th award), USCG Special Operations service ribbon, military outstanding volunteer service medal, NATO medal, Combat Infantryman Badge (2nd award),  Expert Infantryman badge, Ranger Tab, Pathfinder Badge, Basic Aviation Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge and the Military Freefall Badge.

At the time of his induction into the OCS Hall of Fame, COL Thacker was serving as Vice President of i3solutions, President, Titan Consulting & Analytics and Partner in Aurora Global International.
