He also received the NATO Medal for Operations in Former Yugoslavia, the Secretary General’s Gold Medal for Excellence, and the Department of Army’s Medal for Outstanding Civilian Service. | First Lieutenant Durkee is a retired officer of the US Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor.
