Donald Northcutt

DIRECTOR

Don Northcutt served as an enlisted airman in Air Force Intelligence, 1967-73. He volunteered for aircrew duty, reported to the 7th Airborne Command and Control Squadron at Danang Air Base, Vietnam, in April 1968, and logged more than 1400 combat flying hours over Laos in EC-130 and O-2 aircraft. Discharged from the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. In November 1974 he enlisted in the Army and served as a Weapons Squad leader with C Company, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, until selected for OCS Class 2-76 and was commissioned in the Military Police Corps on 30 January 1976.

As a Military Police officer, he served as the Law Enforcement Officer, US Army Garrison Okinawa; Senior Instructor, Tactical Operations Group, US Army Military Police School; and as Company Commander of a basic training unit.

Don left commissioned service to receive a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, and a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Memphis. He served congregations in California and Tennessee, retiring in 2003. He also retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia and was involved in establishing the Veterans Treatment Court program in the Virginia court system. Enjoying retirement, Don and Anna now live in Long Beach, Mississippi, close to the beach and his childhood home.

He is also a member of the 101st Airborne Division Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Vietnam Veterans of America, and Clan MacDougall Society.
