
PATRICK F. McGINNIS
Lieutenant Colonel Patrick F. McGinnis, upon graduation from the Infantry Officer Candidate School, was assigned as an Instructor in the Weapons Department, United States Army Infantry School. | Lieutenant Colonel McGinnis was later assigned to the 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 11th Airborne Division, for duty as a Company Commander and subsequently assigned to the 187th Glider Infantry Regiment as a Battalion Executive Officer. He participated in three campaigns in the Far East during World War II, including a combat jump on Luzon. Some of his other assignments include duty with the 3d Infantry Division and the Korean Military Advisory Group in Korea; Chief of Plans Division, G3 Section, XVIII Airborne Corps. | Lieutenant Colonel McGinnis completed the Associate Infantry Officer Advance Course, the Command and General Staff College, and the Senior Officer Atomic Weapons Employment Course. | His decorations include: the Silver Star, the Bronze Star Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Master Parachutist Badge.
