Lieutenant Colonel Millard O. Engen served as a Platoon Leader and Company Commander with the 28th Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, and saw action in the seizure of Brest-Hurtgen Forrest. | Lieutenant Colonel Engen has been assigned as Company Commander with the 9th Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division and S3 and Battalion Executive Officer with the 23d Regiment, 2d Infantry Division in Korea. Lieutenant Colonel Engen is a graduate of The Command and General Staff College. His other assignments include: duty as staff officer with the G3 Section at the Department of the Army and with USAREUR Headquarters in Germany. | Lieutenant Colonel Engen’s decorations include the Silver Star w/ 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Bronze Star Medal w/ 4 Oak Leaf Clusters and V Device, Combat Infantryman Badge Second Award, Purple Heart w/ 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, European Theater Operations Ribbon w/ 4 Stars, Korean Service Medal w/ 5 Stars, General Staff Identification Badge; and the French Croix de Guerre.
