Lieutenant Colonel Julian McConnie was commissioned an Infantry Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School in 1944. | His duty assignments include: World War II Service and service with the United States Army Reserve, San Juan, Puerto Rico. | As a civilian lawyer, McConnie was the Founder, First President and Director of General Counsel, United Federal Savings and Loan Association of Puerto Rico; Founder, Director of Service and Counsel, Puerto Rican Savings and Loan League; Director and Counsel, U.S. Federal Savings Wage Committee for Textiles & Related Industries, Puerto Rico; President and Chief Executive Officer, Pilot Title Insurance Agency of Puerto Rico; Vice President, Director, Sunbeach Condominium, Inc.; Director, GASPEDOM; Founder and member, Presidential Table, New Progressive Party. McConnie also served as Manager and Chief Executive Officer, Julian McConnie Law Offices, San Juan, Puerto Rico. In government he served as a Statehood Representative for Puerto Rico and was Appointed Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Puerto Rico.
