His military campaigns consist of the Vietnam counteroffensive Phase III, Vietnam Counteroffensive Phase IV, Vietnam Counteroffensive Phase V, TET Counteroffensive, TET ‘69 counteroffensive, Vietnam Summer-Fall 69, Unnamed Campaign.| Captain Roesch's military education and training includes: Parachutist Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Good Conduct Medal, German Ranger Tab, Expert Infantryman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, VSH, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ Device, Combat Infantryman Badge, PH, VN Parachutist Badge, Bronze Star Medal with “V” Device, Air Medal, 3 Overseas Service Bars, VN Cal Cross, UN Civilian Air Medal. | His awards include: The Bronze Star Medal For Heroism (Four Oak Leaf Clusters) with “V” Device, Award of The Air Medal, The Purple Heart.
