Colonel George H. Chase was commissioned an Engineer Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School at Fort Riley, Kanas, 15 February 1950. His first duty assignment was as Platoon Leader, 808th Engineer Aviation Battalion, Okinawa and Korea. | His subsequent duty assignments include: Assistant Group Operations Officer, 950th Engineer Aviation Battalion, Wolters Air Force Base, Texas; Supply and Operations Officer, Company Commander, 70th Construction Engineers, Fort Dix, New Jersey; Command and Public Information Officer, Headquarters, U.S. Army Training Center, Infantry, Fort Dix, New Jersey; Inspector General, Tactical Commander, Information Officer, U.S. Army Support Command, DaNang, Vietnam; Policy and Plans Office, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Washington, D.C.; Public Information Officer, Headquarters Department of the Army Reserve, Washington, D.C.; Senior Reserve Advisor to Commanding General, U.S. Army Material and Readiness Command, Alexandria, Virginia; Executive Director, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves, Arlington, Virginia; Assistant Chief of Public Affairs, U.S. Army, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Washington, D.C. | At the time of his induction, Colonel Chase was serving as Managing Director, Chase Associates, Alexandria, Virginia.
