Colonel Richard R. Perez
Colonel Richard Raphael Perez was commissioned a Signal Corps Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School Class 3-75 at Fort Benning, Georgia, 20 May 1975. His first duty assignment was as a Photo Documentation Team Leader, U.S. Army Special Operations Pictorial Detachment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Following retirement in 2001, Colonel Perez continued to serve the country in the Defense Industrial Base. He served in senior management positions in industry until his untimely death on 6 October 2017. He always maintained a commitment to service and diligence to transparency and fair processes. This serves as a hallmark of his attitude of his career and his superior legacy.
