Colonel Alan Reich was commissioned an Infantry Officer upon graduation from Officer Candidate School Class 12 in September of 1954. His first duty assignment was as Platoon Leader, 74th Regimental Combat Team, Fort Devens, Massachusetts. | His subsequent duty assignments include: Intelligence Officer, The Pentagon, Washington, D.C.; Infantry Company Platoon Leader, Replacement Company, Zweibruken, Germany; Soviet Interrogation Officer, 3rd Military Intelligence Battalion, Frankfort, Germany. | His military awards and decorations include; Expert Infantryman Badge. | He also served as President, National Organization on Disability, Washington, D.C. at the time of his Hall of Fame induction.
